The Sun is rising...

Lol, what I mean is that one of my sunflower has 'semi' bloom, I think by afternoon it should be fully open. Check out the picture below. The rest are looking well too, and looks like they are blooming soon as well. I notice that even some of the stalks are planted later, the buds came out the same time, even the shorter ones. Isn't it amazing the wonders of mother nature keeping track of time.

RIP - one stalk of sunflower, don't know how it was broke into half, luckily it is one of the shorter ones...

Day 54 is like 7 weeks and I can see my sunflowers are coming out with buds and ready to bloom in the next few days. I gave them fertilizer once a week, and that encourage them to grow really tall. The highest is about 4ft, which is up to my chest level, mind you I am 5 feet 7. The stem is really thick and stable now, but the shorters one still have problem withstanding heavy rain and sometimes topple down. I thought of thinning some of the shorter ones because the taller ones are blocking the sun from them.

I got my giant Mammoth and Kong sunflower last week, I am now trying to germinate it. It is time to shop for a super huge pot for this. I won't be mass growing them instead going to do it 1 at a time.

Here are some of the picture I took yesterday evening...

Hopefully the next update I can able to show you guys the bloom sunflowers...

I didn't keep track of the actual days of this pumpkin unlike my sunflower. However, I will roughly think now is about 3 weeks old. The first two leafs from the seed has dropped and now having produce 5 leafs. I can see from the look for it, this will be the bush type, instead of running vines. If you see below the pictures, another seed manage to germinate, so I have put it at the same pot, oh yeah... I have transffered the first one to a bigger pot now. While transplanting it, the root is amazingly long and everywhere, even to the very bottom of the pot. I accidently broke a few, but luckyly after the day I transplanted, it still growing well. I now putting it in the full sun, and hope to see them flower in another month or so, and them hopefully it will bear fruit.

I ordered along with my giant sunflowers, some Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seed, the ones that can give you a 1000 lbs pumpkin... cant wait for that too...

Come back sometime soon for some more update of my watermelon plant and ladies finger... which I successfully germinated it :)

Yesterday I took a couple of pictures of my sunflower progress. I have to say they grow so fast and tall now. Even the stem has gotten thicker, about 0.8cm in diameter. The tallest now has reach about 2 feet high and the leafs are as big as my palm. The rest are growing even quicker where another one is catching up with the 'tallest'.

I still have not gotten my Kong Sunflower and Giant Mammoth, I am awaiting anxiously for the seeds to arrive...

Check out some of the pictures and enjoy
